Person-Centred Support

Andrew Gunn

Andrew is one of the driving forces behind Top Gunn Disability Support Services and brings a genuine, hands-on approach to supporting participants, families and staff.

With many years of experience in disability support, Andrew has built strong relationships across the Albury-Wodonga community and is well known for his practical, down-to-earth style. He understands that good support is not just about filling shifts, it is about matching the right people, building trust and making sure participants feel safe, respected and heard.

Andrew’s connection to disability support is also deeply personal. Growing up with his sister Jody, who had Down syndrome, gave him an early understanding of the importance of patience, respect, inclusion and reliable support. That lived experience continues to shape the way he works today.

In his role, Andrew focuses on participant relationships, service quality and ensuring supports are built around each person’s needs, goals and routines. He is passionate about helping people feel more confident, connected and independent in their everyday lives.

Above all, Andrew believes in keeping things simple, honest and person-centred, supporting people properly, treating families with respect and doing what he says he will do.

James Gunn

James brings extensive leadership experience across disability services, corrective services, risk management and community-based support.

Prior to stepping into the CEO role at Top Gunn Disability Support Services, James held senior leadership positions within Corrective Services NSW, where he developed a strong background in staff supervision, complex decision-making, governance, risk management, compliance, and supporting teams working with vulnerable people and high-risk situations.

James also brings hands-on experience within the disability sector and a deep personal connection to disability support, shaped by growing up with his sister Jody, who had Down syndrome. This combination of lived experience, frontline understanding and senior leadership gives James a clear focus on building a service that is safe, reliable, values-driven and genuinely person-centred.

As CEO, James is committed to strengthening Top Gunn Disability Support Services through clear leadership, strong systems, accountable practice and a culture that supports participants, families and staff to achieve positive outcomes.

Sally Neilson

With over 26 years of experience in the disability sector, Sally is passionate about supporting people with disability to live empowered and fulfilling lives.

Sally has extensive experience leading and developing teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. Her approach is grounded in respect, inclusion and a strong commitment to ensuring people receive support that is safe, meaningful and tailored to their individual needs.

In recent years, Sally’s focus has also expanded into the business and operational side of disability services. She works across compliance, governance and Work Health and Safety (WHS), helping to create safe, strong and well-run environments for both participants and staff.

Sally brings a steady, experienced and practical approach to her work, with a clear focus on quality, accountability and supporting positive outcomes for the people and families connected with Top Gunn Disability Support Services.

Kadence Wild

Kadence Wild brings a warm, respectful and positive approach to her role with Top Gunn Disability Support Services.

Kadence is passionate about building genuine relationships and creating a supportive experience for the people she works with. She values clear communication, problem-solving and helping maintain a workplace where people feel respected, included and treated equally.

Although Kadence may seem quiet at first, those who get to know her quickly learn that she has plenty to say and enjoys connecting with others. Her friendly nature and willingness to learn make her a valued part of the team, particularly in helping create a smooth, welcoming and supportive environment for participants, families and staff.

Outside of work, Kadence enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, watching a good movie, travelling and playing the piano. She also loves snow leopards, enjoys most types of music (with the exception of mumble rap) and says autumn is her favourite season because of the mild weather.

Kadence is always looking to build on her skills and continue developing both personally and professionally, bringing kindness, curiosity and a positive attitude to everything she does.
